Marzieh Asgari-Vash is an Iranian writer and researcher working in the fields of development, history, and international political economy. She has a column of essays in Didar News titled Gunpowder and Silk. One of her well-known pieces in this outlet is an essay entitled “The Effects of Economic Sanctions: A Catastrophe on People’s Tables,” which addresses the human and social consequences of economic sanctions.
